Your Calling Is Clear. Your Financial Future Could Be Too.
Ministry is rewarding. It is also demanding. And for many newly credentialed ministers, retirement planning feels like something to figure out later.
- Are you unsure how or where to begin saving for retirement?
- Does navigating church retirement plans, tax rules, and housing allowances feel overwhelming?
- Are you worried financial stress could distract you from the work you were called to do?
You do not have to figure this out alone. We exist for moments exactly like this one.
Your $500 Gift Is Waiting
The Newly Credentialed Program is our way of walking alongside new ministers at the very start of their journey, encouraging healthy saving habits from the very beginning.
How the Gift Works
Servant Solutions deposits a free $500 gift directly into your new retirement account. No strings. No cost to you.
After one year of regular contributions into your account, you receive a second gift of $1,000:
- New Credentialed → free $500
- New Credentialed + 1-year of contributions → an additional $1,000
Do You Qualify?
You are eligible for the Newly Credentialed Program if you meet all three of the following requirements:
- You work at least 20 hours per week
- You receive compensation from a church or nonprofit organization that participates in the Servant Solutions Retirement Plan
- You have been fully credentialed by an approved church body within the last five years
Wondering if your church participates? Give us a call. We can verify whether it’s already participating or explore whether it qualifies to join the Servant Solutions Plan.
What the Plan Includes
Your retirement account is backed by the full strength of the Servant Solutions 403(b)(9) church retirement plan, purpose-built for ministry, not adapted from a corporate framework. As a member, you receive:
Low Fee Christian Retirement Plan
We offer a low-fee retirement plan that helps pastors, ministry leaders, and church staff keep more of their retirement savings invested for the future.
Faith-Based Investment Options
Choose from faith-aligned investment options, including Lifefunds, mutual funds, and a fixed income option, so your retirement plan can reflect both your financial goals and your biblical values.
Tax Deferred Retirement Growth
Your contributions and earnings grow tax-deferred over time, helping you build long-term retirement savings with greater confidence and peace of mind.
Tax-Free Housing Allowance Benefit
Qualifying retired ministers may designate a portion of their retirement income as a tax-free housing allowance, offering a unique financial advantage through a 403(b)(9) church plan.
Free Financial Education
We provide free financial education through webinars, the Toolbox Series, and one-on-one Financial Roadmap consultations to help you make wise retirement decisions at every stage of ministry.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who qualifies as newly credentialed?
A minister qualifies as newly credentialed if they have reached the highest level of credentialing within their church body — often ordination — within the last five years.
Do I need an existing retirement account to receive the $500 gift?
No. If you do not already have a Servant Solutions retirement account, we will create one for you and deposit the $500 gift directly into it.
How do I qualify for the second gift after one year?
After establishing a consistent pattern of regular contributions into your Servant Solutions account over the course of one year, you automatically qualify for the second gift — either $500 or $1,000 depending on your credentialing date.
What makes a 403(b)(9) plan different from other retirement plans?
A 403(b)(9) plan is specifically designed for churches and eligible ministry organizations. It offers unique benefits unavailable in standard corporate retirement plans — including the tax free housing allowance for retired ministers and investment options aligned with faith values.
Is my investment managed with biblical principles in mind?
Our financial planning and stewardship approach is rooted in biblical principles. For members who desire it, we also offer biblically responsible and screened investment options that seek to align their portfolios with their Christian values.
What financial support is available beyond the retirement account?
Every Servant Solutions member receives free access to financial education tools, live webinars, the Toolbox Series, and personalized Financial Roadmap consultations with our advisors. You will never navigate your financial future alone.
